Untitled[edit]

I'm convinced that the people who rejected Hitler for entrance to the academy are the most influential unknown people of the 20th century. 152.23.196.162 06:23, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is completly untrue to state that Hitlers antisemitism was the result of his rejection from the Academy. Firstly and mainly because there were no Jews on the panel, as any aurthorititive Hitler biography will mention. Secondly the 1918 capitulation (among other things), which Hitler and many others demonstrably blamed on Jews, is the more realistic and sensible contender - as you will discover if you read Mein Kampf. I have made slight alterations to the article accordingly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.16.47.249 (talk) 01:38, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The title translation is wrong. It should be "Vienna Academy of Fine Arts". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.230.116.38 (talk) 02:50, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About this - do we have any documented evidence of this incident beyond Mein Kampf? Someone must have looked through the archives and found (or not found) something about this.--Bellerophon5685 (talk) 23:23, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anschluss period[edit]

Currently the article says During the Austrian Anschluss to Nazi Germany from 1938–1945, the academy was forced to heavily reduce its number of Jewish staff. This implies that some Jewish members of its staff remained throughout the period. Were there any Jewish staff members who continued to work in the Academy and who survived the war ? Name of school[edit]

Did the name of this school change over the years? Should it be Vienna Fine Arts Academy? Or Imperial Art School of the Museum of Art in Vienna? Jooojay (talk) 19:27, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
