Untitled[edit]

ACCM has been appointed as the medical accrediting body by the government of St. Maarten, Cayman Islands, the Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis, Aruba and Jordan. Not every school located in these countries has to be accredited by ACCM, that is up to the school to decide. St. Maarten: American University of the Caribbean (recognized by NCFMEA)https://sites.ed.gov/ncfmea/comparability-decisions/ Saba - this is under NVAO due to giving up their independence and becoming a Dutch territory once more. Cayman Islands - Grand Cayman: St. Matthew's University (recognized by NCFMEA)https://sites.ed.gov/ncfmea/comparability-decisions/ Nevis: Medical University of the Americas (recognized by NCFMEA)https://sites.ed.gov/ncfmea/comparability-decisions/ St. Kitts: University of Medicine and Health Sciences (applied for recognition by NCFMEA) Jordan: University of Jordan ACCMCB (talk) 15:09, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is untrue as written below:

Schools in the Caribbean[edit]

This was removed. I'm putting it here so I don't lose it when I go get the references. The website says that it represents the governments of each island and that there is only one school on each island. The only medical schools on those islands are listed below. The NCFMEA website specifically does not list any organization for Nevis which means there's no accreditation. None-the-less the school statements should be individually referenced.

The main page of the NCFEMA says nothing about Nevis, recognized or not. However in documents buried within the page they make it clear that Nevis uses the ACCM. See here. Regarding the listing, the ACCM website makes no specific statement of which schools they accredit, but rather the countries which they operate in. Can you perhaps give a link from the ACCM website which gives a list of schools they accredit? Basket of Puppies 19:36, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The school pages undoubtedly have the ACCM phrase on them since accreditation is a big issue. It may be a week or so before I can check since I'm going to be without pc for a bit. (talk) 20:53, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

The name is incorrect. It is the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine, according to its website. WayneBu (talk) 07:24, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
