Is this necessary ?[edit]

This article may do more harm than good. It describes a damped Helmholtz resonator which does not rely on "sound absorbing material "

Between two outer walls sound absorbing material is inserted and the wall is porous.

They work perfectly with perforated steel and air behind, or concrete and expanded polystyrene . Study on Cementitious Sound Absorber with Expanded Polystyrene Waste as Aggregate.

The illustration looks more like a diffuser than an absorber. Maybe the slots between the boards are open to a cavity beheind to form a Helmholtz resonator ? But this article is about the board, not the slot ...

Helmholtz cavity boards inside loudspeakers ? - citation needed !

Either way it's more confusing than helpful ! I doubt whether the author of this article understands it. Links are a bit random, too.

This page is inaccurate[edit]

If someone can change the Title to "Acoustic Panel" Or "Acoustic Diffuser" I can update. Page needs to be deleted[edit]

Nothing is truthful about this page. "Dictionary of architectural and building technology" 1998 Cite is out of date. It is a product that home depot used to carry, its hard to find now. 36N63 (talk) 06:44, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
