The result of the move request was: Move. There's a clear consensus for a move, and the first proposed option is the one with the strongest support. Cúchullain t/c 21:10, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Acropolis, AthensAcropolis (neighbourhood) – Acropolis, Athens must be redicted to Acropolis of Athens. The neighbourhood must be renamed Acropolis (neighbourhood) so that not confused with Acropolis of Athens--Odythal (talk) 19:50, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • weak oppose, a search on acropolis athens gives Acropolis of Athens as top result. Wikipedia regularly uses the format "small place, big place". Disambiguation is a non issue. The hatnote: "For the ancient monument, see Acropolis of Athens" reads fine. I don't see a major reason for disrupting the content style at Category:Neighbourhoods in Athens. • Oppose. There's currently no reason for this to exist as a stand-alone article, so a merge to Acropolis of Athens would be preferable. The Acropolis of Athens is also the primary referent for Acropolis, Athens, so some move would need to take place if the article were to stay. However, some form of natural disambiguation would be preferable in that case. 209.211.131.181 (talk) 03:05, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In relation to being an area of Athens, the article is rightly called "Acropolis, Athens". Its not the same area as that of the specific historic site. GregKaye 22:27, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Acropolis of Athens is a historic site with no permanent living residents - though I once spent a few days caravanning in an adjacent road. GregKaye 01:15, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If there is really thought to be a problem with Acropolis, Athens then I won't object to any:
"Acropolis (district)", Acropolis (neighbourhood), Acropolis, Athens (modern neighbourhood), Acropolis, Athens (municipal district), ... etc. and am happy to support Acropolis, Athens (modern neighbourhood), GregKaye 01:32, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move to Acropolis (neighbourhood), prefer Acropolis (district) but not strongly. I note that the DAB at Acropolis (disambiguation) does not currently [1] mention any districts or neighbourhooods at all, even this one - I might fix that. But the point is, there are no other articles on districts or neighbourhoods by this name, so the most concise title should be preferred. Agree that Acropolis, Athens should redirect to Acropolis of Athens (with hatnotes from that article then pointing to both the district (this article) and the DAB of course). • Support move to Acropolis (neighbourhood), as originally proposed. I don't think anybody would seriously think that refers to the Acropolis itself, even though technically at one time in history it might have been definable as a "neighbourhood", so the modern part just adds unnecessary meat to the disambiguator. The ", Athens" suffix is not necessary once other disambiguation is applied, since that is already only there to distinguish it from Acropolis.
