Actebia squalida or balanitis[edit]

Because Actabia squalida and Actebia balanitis appear to be two different species (in this page the two species were previously considered one species) (see note #E300 in: Pohl G.R., Cannings R.A., Landry J.-F., Holden D.G., Scudder G.G.E., 2015. Checklist of the Lepidoptera of British Columbia, Canada. Entomological Society of British Columbia Occasional Paper. Issue 3). This note states that A. squalida has been mistakenly reported from BC in a previous publication (Lafontaine and Troubridge 2011). Pohl et al. call A. squalida a "Palearctic species". I found no reliable information that A. squalida occurs in the Nearctic. I created a new page on Actebia balanitis and moved the information associated with A. balanitis from this page to A. balanitis' page.
