Talk:Adaptive learning

IMHO this article looks too much like a rehash or retake on Adaptive_educational_hypermedia, and does address quite poorly the concept that adaptive-ness is an element of any type of education format or method, not only those that make use of computers.

The first thing to address will be the definition, and thus contrast with "individualized education", which is often confused with adaptive. etc.

History section needs improvement![edit]

The current history section is missing too much and going into too much detail on a select few.

It seems a credible claim the Cognitive Tutors were the first adaptive learning systems (or at least the first intelligent tutoring systems) that were widely adopted in schools -- starting in the early 1990s.

One might also credibly claim that the products of the Computer Curriculum Corporation, based on work of Patrick Suppes, were even earlier forms of adaptive learning technology. Depends on how one defines adaptive.

There's probably more, but at least these two should added to the history and given equal weight to the examples that are there.

Educational game design[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I added the template COI to this section due to self-promotion. The most important contributor to this ALGAE-flattering paragraph - [see here] - is User:Elavierijr, who has a user name matching the cited author's name Lavieri, Edward. Not having time to make the paragraph more neutral, I leave it to you for now.
