I'm a bit confused: is it right that Georgia has both regions and provinces? Are the many provinces (or districs, as Georgia (country) has it, too) subordinate to the regions? And are there really 16 regions? (I count just nine on this list). Specialists, please help! Fransvannes 20:01, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Judging from maps and the individual entries for some of the regions and districts, it does indeed appear that the districts are subordinate to the regions. The number of regions is 12, as based on the list given here and the map. I have removed the list of cities, as it seemed nothing more than a list of Georgia's most important cities, and thus is more logically placed in the entry for the country itself. 20:17, 23 October 2005 (GMT+1)
