Sclaviniae as "administrative divisions of medieval Serbia"?[edit]
Sklaviniae of Duklja, Pagania, Zachlumia, Travunia and Kanalites, and possibly also Bosnia cosidering academic literature, were separate polities compared to Sklaviniae of Serbia. They, with most probably exception of Bosnia, were not administrative divisions of medieval Serbia. In the historical source De Administrando Imperio it is stated that their people, with an exception of Diocleia, descend from the Serbs, but that information is also heavily disputed by academic literature. The same goes for the claim "Višeslav, the first Serbian monarch known by name, was a contemporary with Charlemagne (fl. 768–814). He directly held the hereditary lands of Neretva, Tara, Piva and Lim", as Serbia was only around Tara, Piva and Lim, with some borders at Ibar, Western Morava and Upper Bosna. The lands toward Neretva were other Sklaviniae. Basically, the administrative division is the information from RFA about Serb zhupans, DAI information about Serbian inhabited cities and of Bosnia.
