Date Conflict

From the article: "The first school building was destroyed by fire in 1920, and Dixon made his home available as a temporary school until a new one would be erected." This was very generous from a man who had, by the date stated, been dead for 7 years. Is the date of the schoolhouse fire incorrect or was it one of Dixon's descendants that provided the home for a temporary school? HatCat (talk) 19:59, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for catching that. It's been corrected. Dixon's old home had been the site of the temporary school, but it was more likely unoccupied at the time. Even before he died, Dixon had moved to Plemons, Texas.

History and Geography

Should the history of the town be included under one heading? Should a geography section also be added? I know that this is the standard format for ghost town articles, but maybe the layout is different for WikiProject NRHP articles. TCMemoire (talk) 17:07, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

The only guidelines I'm aware of are Wikipedia:Manual of Style Layout and NRHP Style guide. I don't know any dictates of standardization about specific content and section headings. However, if you look at individual articles, such as NRHP Travis County, Texas, or a random peek at the various ghost town articles, you'll find the sections and their contents vary. — Maile (talk) 18:14, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
