Nobel Prize[edit]

If his "fuhrer" prevented him from getting his Nobel Prize, and in the intervening years it turned out what a Nazi scumbag he was, shouldn't the Nobel committee have told him that he wouldn;t be getting it after all? Acmthompson (talk) 15:48, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

He got the prize for what he has done for the humankind. he worked in Germany, but why should that stop him from geting it? We all have use of his science. Adville (talk) 12:56, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The involvement was not massive enough to justify any action. Like most of the professors he had to become NSDAP member and labelling fundamental research "kriegswichtig" (important for military use) to get funding at all was the normal way to survive at the any research institute. He did not change his research subjects and tried to create a story that his research is important for the military. In the US most Universities changed focus on military research as well and nobody questioned this action.--Stone (talk) 17:39, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
