Objection to deletion[edit]

It has come to my concern that the article fits criteria to be deleted. I object to the deletion as multiple articles follow the same "style" of writing, containing information about its nations participation at the 1954 Asian Games. If this article is up for deletion, then why do other articles that follow the same nature, containing more or less information aren't up for deletion?

If my explanation is not enough, I will try to make it better in a way that it's enough to fit Wikipedia's standards. Arconning (talk) 09:32, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Arconning, currently all the article says is that Afghanistan participated at the 1954 Asian games. The silver medal won isn't supported by the reference (which says that Afghanistan didn't win any medals that year). If you can find other sources which give more information (e.g. list of athletes with events that they participated in), it would be great and would come closer to passing Wikipedia's notability standards. If you think that it would take more than a week to get these sources, then tell me, and I can convert this article into a draft, so that you have more time to work on it. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 10:06, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
