Are they really sisters?[edit]

Can someone verify this? According to [1] they hooked up in 2002. IMHO they don't look alike, and several of the articles that call them sisters look like they might not mean "sisters" in the familial sense. I'm going to edit out the "sisters" reference in the article and send them an email. In the meantime feel free to correct this if I have made a mistake. EyeMessiah--supermoon@yokozuna.co.jp

I see that a lot of articles refer to them as sisters, but only in a very offhand manner, and for some reason I'm still not convinced. There official site doesn't mention it at all, but thats not entirely surprising. Lets say I get an email response from them saying that they aren't sisters should we still defer to the numerous articles? EyeMessiah194.217.48.150 15:59, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm aware that I am having this discussion with myself, but I will leave the resolution of this point intact for the benefit of future generations. I noticed on the dusted magazine that afrirampo are quoted as saying, when asked where they got the name from; "Our great mom gave it to us. It means 'Naked - soul, music, dick, head, mind, animal!". That will do me. I'll put sister back in ;) Eyemessiah 11:04, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are not sisters. According to all accounts I've read, including interviews and articles in the magazine Plan B (www.planbmag.com), and on their own website, they are not sisters. They met a few years ago, I think through mutual friends.

Names[edit]

This website (http://samanthaculp.com/2005/11/naked-rock-afrirampos/) lists their full names as Pikachu Yasashii and Oni Beppin. Of course it is very unlikely that that Pikachu is Pikachu's real name, or even that Oni is Oni's real name (I think Oni means demon in japanese), but it is likely that the names Yasashii and Beppin are real (most likely family names). So I think I will put these names in brackets next to their psuedenoms. But if you disagree with this decission feel free to correct it.--P-we Joplin (talk) 12:08, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
