Birth date[edit]

Britannica says he was born 1 August 1642.[1] Huge discrepancy. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 21:34, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dangling ref[edit]

I have located a dangling ref and hidden it, replacing it with a citation needed tag. This has been done because we have a reference pointing to a source that is not recorded in the article. Please feel free to contact me if you need assistance fixing this. - Aussie Article Writer (talk)

Birth date[edit]

The date stated by Encyclopaedia Britannica is wrong, what more, Britannica does not state the source of this information, so it is highly probable it was made up.

In the Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı İslâm Ansiklopedisi the correct date is stated - February 25th 1643. TDV also ALWAYS gives a list of reliable sources at the end of its articles. I think the historical sources like the Imperial Archives are what is substantial, not what Americans or Europeans make up.

Stop giving made up data. This is not the only case! Or do you want to say that if someone comes up with an unbased data, without a source, you will run to publish it? What value has such information and what reliability does Wikipedia have itself? 2A02:AB04:2D4:8C00:34CD:C4E3:B245:71DA (talk) 08:39, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
