Israel uses both mdy and dmy date formats. Look, for example, at the Jerusalem Post (founded in 1932), which you can see uses mdy format. Each is fine. Don't edit war over this, please. Because you incorrectly think only the dmy format is acceptable. It is silly.
Plus, of course, this woman was born in the US. And has lived most of her life in the US. So this article is also on a topic that has strong ties to the US. Which uses a mdy format.
