Pronunciation[edit]

The pronunciations need to be given in IPA. The ancient pronunciation is utterly unhelpful. The current one suggests (in SAMPA) /'eInsk@U/, but that is my interpretation and could be wrong. — Paul G 06:09, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Huguenots[edit]

I removed a reference to "Huguenot" origins; this seemed sensible, since the context in which it appeared was in reference to the (Papally sanctioned) invasion of William the Conqueror in 1066. Obviously, Protestantism of any form whatsoever would not exist for nearly another 500 years.75.69.5.109 (talk) 02:28, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ainscough vs. Ayscough[edit]

There is no proof that these two families are related. Please provide proof or remove information about the Ayscoughs. Also the entire american side of this family is ignored.Vfea4150 (talk) 20:51, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
