NPOV[edit]

Since the only place mentioned in the article with this activity is the US Gulf coast, it is violating neutral point of view. These thunderstorms obviously occur elsewhere. Thegreatdr (talk) 14:17, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed the issue, and did some work to get it up to start and C class. Thegreatdr (talk) 17:58, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

Is there a more specific category than simply 'Storm'? Juliancolton (talk) 20:28, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Other relevant cats have been added. Thegreatdr (talk) 21:02, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looks great. I'll try to review the article's GAN this evening (I doubt I'll find many issues). Juliancolton (talk) 21:10, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nice. Look forward to it. Thegreatdr (talk) 21:12, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just as a side-comment, if possible, I think it would be interesting to see an example or two of a particular severe garden variety cell. Is that feasible? Juliancolton (talk) 21:25, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know about severe, but I've provided another couple Cb images. Garden variety Tstorms normally don't experience much (if any) vertical wind shear, so they look physically different than organized severe thunderstorms. Thegreatdr (talk) 21:39, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer: Juliancolton (talk) 22:12, 1 March 2011 (UTC) As I suspected, I couldn't find many issues at all with the article. It seems like an informative, comprehensive account of a surprisingly specific subset of thunderstorms. It has nice accompanying illustrations and overall more than qualifies for GA status. I have just one suggestion: "Single cell thunderstorms normally last 20–30 minutes." I assume this is the period of time between the cell's formation and dissipation, but I'm concerned less informed readers might take it to mean thunderstorm conditions at a given location will last 20 to 30 minutes. Nice work regardless! Juliancolton (talk) 22:12, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
