Merger[edit]

21st Bombardment Squadron should be merged into this article per WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME An article about a unit, formation, or base should be placed at "Name (optional disambiguator)". The name should generally be either the official name used by the armed forces to which the unit or base belongs. When a unit or base has had multiple names over the course of its existence, the title should generally be the last name used. Neither exception to this rule applies, the subject is not clearly more commonly known by the previous name and the length of the article is not excessive. In addition the article to be merged has no citations to reliable sources and is included in potential WP:COPYVIOs and material has already been removed from the article for this reason. --Lineagegeek (talk) 16:20, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

AETC Studies and Analysis should also be merged into this article. In addition to the reasons associated with WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME mentioned above, AETC Studies & Analysis is an entirely duplicative article, that uses abbreviations in the title and a shortened name that has never been used by the unit. --Lineagegeek (talk) 23:47, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

21st Tactical Air Support Squadron should also be merged into this article. For the reasons associated with WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME mentioned above. --Lineagegeek (talk) 12:17, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

AETC SAS Commanders[edit]

The following table of commanding officers was on the AETC Studies and Analysis page. It was not brought into the merged article because commanders at the flight and squadron level are not notable (in the rare cases in which they are, they can be listed in the infobox and linked). The list is also partial, since it does not include most commanders of the unit. For these (and other) reasons, lists of commanders of units at this level are not considered encyclopedic and are not customarily included in Wikipedia articles. In addition, the section was not referenced and is subject to removal for that reason alone. --Lineagegeek (talk) 11:43, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Don't have enough detail to fill out from memory ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.185.55.86 (talk) 13:52, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Updating my old comments from 2013; it's curious how little info there seems to be about the late 80s/early 90s and I can't seem to find any real documentation online to back up my memory. Served in 21st TASS from 1988 to 1990; using this to keep track of what I have been able to find until I get enough info to update the article.
