Merger with TCAS[edit]

No. TCAS is a proprietary system mandated on larger aircraft. ACAS is the generic term for such systems, of which there are a substantial number.PrairieOjibway (talk) 04:19, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There appears to be no source for ACAS is the generic term for such systems, but I found many sources that contradict this view and say that TCAS is the only ACAS implementation in existence; I suggest splitting electronic conspicuity systems and ground collision avoidance systems from this article to eliminate confusion. Created a discussion about the former in Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Aviation#Electronic_conspicuity.

Auto-GCAS[edit]
