Are there some more sources out there? I still have my doubts about this system. It looks too much like a hoax for me. But I hope I'm wrong... Guaka 15:44, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Found two interesting links, though I wonder if they can be put in the article these days (Wikipedia being a serious encyclopedia and such):

Warnings: After doing a google search, these are some comments for Airhitch users. I have failed to find even one positive review of Airhitch.

I have spent some time in their AIM chat room, which is the only way Aithitch deals with people, and have seen them abuse a lot of people. Airhitch abuses people into giving them a $29 "backout donation" so they are able to raise money without doing any work. For the people who put up with their abuse and continue with the system, I did see them eventually guide people to a regular airline's website to book the fare. They also require you to do vast searches and come up with a price to base your extra donation off of. It is 10% of the amount saved.

They did not, at any time, offer anyone the chance to "hitchhike" on a commercial airplane as 99% of their website talks about. And I also saw that their trainees do most of the actual work to help people find flights. It seems that staff is there only to scam you for a donation. Long story short, only go to Airhitch if you have lots of time to spend (several days) and you have no other options. One last tip would be to message the trainees...they are more helpful than the staff. This organization is almost more of scam than anything else 62.168.254.226 08:01, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

STAY AWAY. If you want to try something similar, try Airtech.com which I have used in the past successfully. Stay far away from airhitch! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.234.247.234 (talk) 08:38, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
