Untitled[edit]

Changed "dictator" to "leader" in the first sentence, since most of the Lybian people and other people around the world don't see Quadhafi as a dictator. I don't know if "leader" is a good substitute, but I believe dictator is too harsh.

I think maybe this article should mention that he is a terrible football player - on the pitch he looks as if he's moving in slow motion... that's when he gets on the pitch, which is hardly ever.

Negative tone[edit]

This article seems to have a negative tone to it, obviously if it were in his more notorious father's article, then it would be spotted and cleaned up. But we need a POV check to make sure that the subject isn't been derided here. - The Daddy 03:09, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is nothing negative in sayng that he is a terrible footballer. He is only on the team becasue he partly owns it. But he never plays a game.

I agree on the neutrality argument here but that doesnt mean that we should lie about what people do just to make them happy because then we would just end up being biased anyway.

True, it does seem to be one sided -- the reason that Libya has gravitated towards the west since 2003 is largley due to the efforts of the Qadhafi sons (Saadi included)Spkk (talk) 15:38, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whole article needs cleaning up[edit]

to be honest, it needs cleaned up. i only came here today, as my dad mentioned he played football, so i wanted to see who for.

however, what i can see is a very bad article, it doesn't flow, the headings have hardly anything to do with what follows, and it all seems a bit of a mess!! i would try to clean up, but someone will probably come along and revert it (it happens all too often on this site!) however i might give it a try. 77.101.18.129 (talk) 23:30, 28 November 2007 (UTC) (not signed in, geeness)[reply]

i have moved things around, changed the headings, the previous ones were, well tbh, silly! i mean come on, 'His Malta Connections' wtf?? it didn't even explain what they were!! i still think more can be done. also, his father's page is Gaddafi, yet it had here it beginning with Q i have changed it to G, to save those redirected pages... 77.101.18.129 (talk) 23:40, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just stumbled across an article linking him to the Canadian Soccer League. Toronto Star article. Some the facts don't match up exactly, any input? --Coppercanuck (talk) 14:20, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First of all he was not arrested!! Today Reuters gave an article which states that he is free. http://af.reuters.com/article/libyaNews/idAFL5E7JO2S120110824 — Preceding unsigned comment added by DoctorKynes (talkcontribs) 21:03, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

LGBT?[edit]

This from a Washington Post article: "In an office area in [Al-Saadi al-Gaddafi's] villa [which had been captured by rebels], reporters saw large piles of catalogues for yachts and cars. A catalog by the firm Benetti had a yellow handwritten post-it note attached listing the price for a 30-meter-long yacht as 7 million euros. A DVD with gay porn entitled “Boyz Tracks” slipped out of the stack of documents. " (emphasis and brackets mine.)

I now find myself debating if I should add the tag Category:LGBT Muslims to his page. Seleucus (talk) 02:44, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Searching for more info, I found this old Mail article, in which an old lover of his stated that she once walked in to find him in bed with another man... don't usually trust tabloids, but interesting to get this suggested from two very different sources. Seleucus (talk) 02:50, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This doesn't even come close to constituting sufficient evidence to do so, WP:BLP or not. TallNapoleon (talk) 05:03, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

He is gay, tag him! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.234.56.57 (talk) 07:13, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it seems he is. One of the sources in the article here says he fled the country dressed like a woman, and that he was known for affairs with men and women. That pretty much says it all, the evidence is overwhelming. Although it could have been exaggerated to make the Gadaffi family look bad, like Gadaffi's "crush" on Condoleezza Rice. :) Mythic Writerlord (talk) 08:58, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article should be protected[edit]

im just saying, his family has nothing to do with wikipedia... if you dont like him, go to facebook or whatever... wikipedia should be kept unbiased and "academic/professional" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.226.168.87 (talk) 00:23, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Career statistics[edit]

The infobox currently claims that he had 24 appearances and 3 goals over a period of 12 years and then 336 appearances and 166 goals during a single season. That obviously can't be right. Jah77 (talk) 15:58, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
