See Seamas Milne's February 2015 Guardian review of Jean Seaton's "Pinkos and Traitors: The BBC and the Nation. 1974-1987" - oddly enough, not in the bibliography for this, though it's what passes for the official history of the BBC for the period - for the information its main source for Milne, Patricia Hodgson, is now chair of Ofcom, and for the information that that Thatcher's appointment of Hussey as chair of the BBC was first cleared with Rupert Murdoch - the latter from the book, not MilneDelahays (talk) 02:19, 7 December 2016 (UTC).[reply]
