For your edification in editing a New Jersey River article, here's the format I've been trying to use:

The xxx River is a tributary of the yyy River, in northern/southern New Jersey in the U.S.

Short description of the river: How long is it? Where does it start?

Does the river serve to define political boundaries? What cities or counties does it flow through?

Is the river impounded to form a reservoir? Whereabouts does it meet up with either the Atlantic Ocean or the yyy River?

Is the river used for navigation? fishing? boating?

Is there an organization devoted to cleaning it up or maintaining it?
