Profession?[edit]

The article describes various findings of Alicia Boole Stott in geometry. Yet the opening paragraph describes her primarily in terms of her family (father and husband), as though a major achievement of her life was marrying an actuary. This does not seem to do justice to her. Was she a professional mathematician? If so, this should be written in the first sentence. --Zvika (talk) 11:16, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Discovery[edit]

It should also be made clear the independence of her discovery of the six regular polytopes in four dimensions, i.e. how it relates historically to Schläfli's work. 212.49.200.37 (talk) 15:45, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That can't be right[edit]

"Alicia Stott sent him photographs of herself because she was pretty" ?? I really doubt that. Is this something she wrote, or is it heresay, or just made up? Rybu (talk) 04:42, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What?[edit]

It says "she made contributions to the field she was in." What field was she in? 108.243.152.221 (talk) 00:01, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
