Expanding[edit]

@Egeymi: Thanks for creating this page, which has been on my list for a long time. I want to create a DYK and seize this opportunity, would you be interested in helping me expand this article? We have seven days as per the eligibility criteria. Also cc'ing @Al Ameer son:, who might find this within his scope of interest. Makeandtoss (talk) 13:49, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Makeandtoss: Hi, thanks for your message, I will try to expand it. It certainly deserves it. --Egeymi (talk) 13:53, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Makeandtoss: I couldn't figure out why you changed the sourced publication years. If you don't put any source to back the dates you inserted unfortunately I will revert your edits, Egeymi (talk) 13:56, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am in the process of filtering the sources and adding them. The newspaper was indeed suspended in 1958 but it was later republished until 1963. Makeandtoss (talk) 14:20, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Then why are you trying to change the dates without giving sources. If you continue I'll report you. --Egeymi (talk) 15:05, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

your move[edit]

Why have you moved it without discussing? It is against wp rules. Egeymi (talk) 14:51, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think instead of your your initial attitude you're now behaving against WP rules and I'll not let you do it. --Egeymi (talk) 14:52, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Egeymi: I am here to build the article, not ruin it, don't worry. I didn't expect this edit to be controversial (which is the condition per WP guidelines), what are your reasons to object to it? Alif Ba are two words in the newspaper's Arabic headline, it is also much more common in reliable sources than AlifBa. [1] [2]. Makeandtoss (talk) 15:01, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't invent its title but used the one given in the scientific articles employed in creating the page. --Egeymi (talk) 15:03, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm adding the related section from the source, Sarah Ozacky-Lazar; Mustafa Kabaha (2002). "The Haganah by Arab and Palestinian Historiography and Media". Israel Studies. 7 (3): 58.

1. AlifBa (Damascus), 13 March 1930.AlifBa [A-B] was founded in Damascus by the Palestinian Yusufal-'Issa, who was active on behalf of the Palestinian cause and supported the Nashashibi opposition. He had been among the founders of the Jaffa newspaper Filastin [Palestine] in 1911. After his death, AlifBa continued to publish until 1958, under the editorship of al-'Issa's two so

your unecessary edits[edit]

You know what editors like you shouldn't vandalize articles which take others' time. Hope you stop it. Egeymi (talk) 14:58, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Because you couldn't find or don't spend your time to find valuable topics to create articles and when the others create pages for them you begin to vandalize it without following the wp rules. It's not fair. --Egeymi (talk) 15:01, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Egeymi: I have no idea what you are talking about, I added a source to the 1920-1963 period, which you also removed.[1] Not only that but also the same source you have used [3], mentions that the newspaper was established after the French came (that is 1920). Also supported by this Library of Congress source. I realize it will be a difficult task finding common ground between conflicting sources, but this unjustified lack of assumption of good faith, suspicion to every edit, and hostility is quite honestly, counter-constructive. Makeandtoss (talk) 15:07, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your source, Damascene Encyclopedia, seems not to be reliable. Please don't use it. In addition, you didn't use Library of Congress in your edit, but Damascene Encyclopedia.Egeymi (talk) 15:10, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Damascene Encyclopedia is a mirror page of the Arabic WP. Egeymi (talk) 15:12, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
