Cyclotrimerization merge[edit]

I was unaware this page existed when I wrote cyclotrimerization. In merging the two pages, I'm preparing to eliminate the specific examples on this page in favor of my own examples. If the author of this page, or anyone else involved with the Wiki Chem project objects to this, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll move forward in a couple of days. Hi Michael, the problem I have with your proposal is that the examples you have included are unreferenced , lacking DOIs. Can that be remedied? Thanks V8rik (talk) 18:36, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
References added, and I cleaned up a couple of words in the lead paragraph. Cheers, Michael Evans (talk) 16:15, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a few internal links, the article looks great thanks V8rik (talk) 20:12, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Major editorial overview[edit]

I did a fair bit of wikification editing tonight, removing the synthetic procedure and spectroscopic data, wikifying headings, etc. I also started the process of preparing the text for the removal of numbers from the figures (because this is also disallowed, for its setting the article up for future problems, and its stifling of further additions and editing).

I would ask others follow suit, and if having the time and tools, remove and return the figures, one by one, with the same, sans numbers, moving the text in the same direction.

Otherwise, the article is high quality, but not encyclopedic, for lack of secondary sources to support the OR of the author, in making broad statements and highlighting examples. Cheers, Bonne chance. Le Prof

Scope and Limitations Subheading[edit]

Hello to whoever this may concern! I was looking at the section involving scope and limitations and noticed that a citation is needed to further elaborate on how nitriles can can react to form pyridines. I was wondering if this journal article fine enough to add to help improve the article? I wanted to have everyone here to take a quick look at it first before I post anything to make sure that I format the citation to everyone's needs, and to see if this particular journal article is what you were looking for. Here is the url for the article: http://pubs.acs.org/doi/pdf/10.1021/cr030677f. I am going to go ahead and add this change in, but please, if I'm stepping over any boundaries, feel free to fix. Thanks! Rpttersn (talk) 18:01, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Citation for CpCo(CO)2 Under Experimental Conditions Subheading[edit]

Hello again! I saw another citation that was needed in the article, one that was needed to verify how CpCo(CO)2 is the most common catalyst used in the cyclotrimerisation of alkynes. I found a scientific review in a journal that mentions that CpCo(CO)2 is proven to be the most popular and versatile reagent for the cyclotrimerisation of alkynes and other related information. I already posted the citation referencing to this journal, but I wanted to mention it here to pass it by you guys again. Again, if I'm offending anyone by adding this citation, or formatting it wrong, please let me know and you're more than welcome to chance it if you would like. I just thought I would help out to improve the article more in the citation area. Thanks again. Rpttersn (talk) 18:43, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
