St Oggs[edit]

George Eliot in her 1860 book, The Mill on the Floss used the town of Gainsborough as a setting and called it by the name of St Oggs.(185.181.236.222 (talk) 20:33, 10 October 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Yes, it was Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Here's a source. The article already mentions a possible connection, but there is no source. There is no known actual saint with the name Ogg. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:26, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
