Storylines[edit]

JDC808 - could you explain your removal [1] of storyline information that comes after the matches were set as unnecessary? I don't see storylines ending just because the matches were set. Reliable sources coverage of the storylines leading to AEW agree [2] - the final episode beatdown to Christian and the Lucha Brothers were covered, Kingston's identification of Miro's neck being the weakness is also covered. starship.paint (exalt) 09:43, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Starship.paint: Just because that info was sourced with reliable sources doesn't mean it belongs here. It was all trivial detail that added nothing to the matches. The storyline summaries are to tell us what gets to the match being scheduled. Some promos and brawls after the fact are not important here unless it changes the match, such as an added stipulation. --JDC808 09:52, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@JDC808: - apologies for the delayed response. Your statement that storyline summaries are to tell us what gets to the match being scheduled is not 100% aligned with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Style guide, which states that the purpose of the Storylines section is to summarize important events that enhanced the rivalry, such as key segments or matches that took place on television shows or pay-per-view events (emphasis mine). Nevertheless, I did notice that style guide mentions that the storylines section should be kept to 1,000 words, so yeah, something does need to be cut. starship.paint (exalt) 09:46, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
