Proposed removal of potentially unimportant/unhelpful/inaccurate statement[edit]

"Wells remains the last male athlete without African ancestry to win the 100 metres at the Olympics."

I flagged this for importance and citation needed. I don't think it's useful or verifiable without DNA testing, and there's a fair amount of evidence that all of us have African ancestry if you go back far enough. Trivia Section[edit]

There appears to be someone from the same IP range making almost daily changes to this page. I have added the information that this person keeps removing yet again but thought that perhaps the person in question may want to discuss why they keep removing it?

I just removed it again. The Scottish records were never removed but maintained in the text. you duplicated that part by adding back the trivia section. David D. (Talk) 07:13, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Bests[edit]

This video at youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M21ga9-xJrg shows a time of 10:03 versus Ben Johnson. I don't know if this was official or not or later modified, but if you watch the video, his time was 10:03 there. The main article here at wikipedia, though, right now claims 10:11. I have no idea which number is correct, but either way I think the "official" entry at wikipedia should add the YEAR, and the event, where he ran 10:11. Because right now this is missing, so how can anyone verify it? Whereas the video at 10:03, even if that time is not correct (I have no idea), shows the EVENT and how he beat Ben Johnson back then, so at the least that is a fact. 2A02:8388:1602:6D80:3AD5:47FF:FE18:CC7F (talk) 05:46, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
