Allied Motion TechnologiesAllient Inc. – The company “Allied Motion Technologies” has legally changed its name to “Allient Inc”. I have made content changes to the page to make it more accurately represent current state of the company. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20230823934165/en/Allied-Motion-Changes-Name-to-Allient-Inc.-and-Begins-Trading-Under-New-Ticker-ALNT - https://www.sos.state.co.us/biz/BusinessEntityDetail.do?quitButtonDestination=BusinessEntityResults&nameTyp=ENT&masterFileId=19871162508&entityId2=19871162508&fileId=20231845552&srchTyp=ENTITY Twalter.fmg (talk) 19:49, 16 November 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. Reading Beans (talk) 01:04, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Reading Beans: please undo your close. There are several issues should have been taken into account. 1. Are there any other sources supporting WP:NAMECHANGE? 2. The proposed title is not in accordance with WP:NCCORP. 3. There is a possibility of WP:UPE. – robertsky (talk) 20:58, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Robertsky, I am as sure as hell that I didn't go against the instructions. This request ran for 7 whole days and no one objected. I'll go ahead and revert my myself, but, I just want to clarify that I didn't err. Best, Reading Beans (talk) 00:55, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Reading Beans nope. You didn't. It is just experience here. After awhile, you will get the hang of what to close at 7th day and what to relist. A tip, if you don't see anyone responding by the 7th day, wait till the discussion falls into the backlog. Many of the more experienced pagemovers or editors will look only at the elapsed section and offer other POV if the unattended discussion does not sit well with them. – robertsky (talk) 05:41, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Relisting comment: Relisting per concerns raised by Robertsky Reading Beans (talk) 01:04, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose Searches on both old and new names post rename in August 2023, shows that either of the names are appearing in numerous press releases. Press release by the company uses mainly the new name (as linked in the nominating statement), while by other companies are using the old name (e.g. [1]). There are limited number of online sources (<5) that are truly independent to make a conclusive opinion that the new name is the new WP:COMMONNAME per WP:NAMECHANGE. Even if moved, the article should be moved to Allient per WP:NCCORP. However when moved, the article at the new title should include a hatnote to distinguish with Alliant that has a slight spelling variation. (Google actually throws up "Did you mean Alliant?" when reaching for "Allient". – robertsky (talk) 07:40, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that, if moved, "Inc" should be omitted due to NCCORP. BegbertBiggs (talk) 15:08, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
