The only external link currently (http://english.pravda.ru/science/19/94/378/12092_alien.html/) seems to be a very poorly constructed text and I very much doubt how much truth it actually holds. I suggest it be removed..

accuracy[edit]

Just exactly how accurate is this article? I could find absolutely no 100% __reliable__ sources on the internet for more info on "Aleshenka" other than some shady and ill-written Russian newsreports. I've added a "disputed" tag for the time being...

Reliable?[edit]

I've noticed issues with the reliability of this article. It makes some claims which I haven't been able to verify. I was the one who added the cn to the thing about the deformed fetus caused by radiation, as there is actually little evidence that any nuclear disaster has ever been linked to birth defects or ill health (contrary to popular belief; see, e.g., Whole Earth Discipline for a discussion of the matter as well as a list of resources for the topic).Arekusu (talk) 16:44, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

background for Aleshenka pulled from Kosmopoisk article[edit]

I pulled this out of the Kosmopoisk article. It might be useful here, but needs to be edited and sourced heavily for it to be useful.

Investigations to define the origin of an unknown being, appeared in the town of Kyshtym (Ural, Russia) in late 1990s.^{[citation needed]} This creature allegedly lived in a house of a mad woman for some time. The dwarf was called Alyoshenka, and this woman cared for him like for her own child.^{[citation needed]} After being left alone, the dwarf died, and his corpse was retrieved by militsiya officers only after a considerable amount of time had passed, which is the reason for very poor condition of the dwarf's body. This body and dwarf's probable origin were a subject of several medical discussions. Russian crime investigator V. Bendlin performed a video record of medical councilium about the origin of dwarf's body.^{[citation needed]}

Later the body was stolen by unknown criminals, and it is still not found to this day.^{[citation needed]} In 2002, a multi-profile expedition was performed in Kyshtym. This expedition collected data, gathered evidence from witnesses, found a possible UFO landing/crash place, and explored a deep Sugomak cave, where the population of dwarf beings possibly existed in the past.^{[citation needed]}

Ufologists believed the Kyshtym dwarf was a true case of the extraterrestrial. The clergy believed the dwarf was a demon.

Should this be categorized under Category:Paranormal hoaxes?[edit]

There's no mention of intentional hoaxing in the article nor in any of the links/refs as if this was a created creature. The whole backstory is, of course, dubious but the creature itself was probably just a discovered deformed fetus. -- œ ^™ 01:27, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Name of child[edit]

The article is confused and confusing. There is a reference to "Aleshenka Erashov’s remains", implying that is the child's name. There is also a reference to "accounts of its death and appearance vary greatly", yet no accounts of death are given, and only one description is given.
