This article seems entirely superfluous. I didn't check, but I'd imagine there aren't articles entitled "Amateur Wrestling", "Amateur Football", "Amateur Ice Dancing", "Amateur Underwater Basket-weaving", etc.

No, I don't think so. The subject is deep and wide, and if someone gets inspired and gets to work on it, it could make a fascinating and useful resource.
