Genre[edit]

Kyle Peake Hey Kyle while you're working on this, I suggest the genre be changed. This song (and whole album for that matter) are definitely not hip hop. I do agree with R&B but maybe electropop? The 808s page itself doesn't list hip hop as a genre (cuz it's not) so it should be changed. – BeatlesLedTV (talk) 17:11, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: I'm not sure if Young Jeezy's appearance is really "rap". I personally don't call it rap but if there are multiple sources that say it's rap I guess it can qualify as hip hop but the whole song is more R&B than hip hop. – BeatlesLedTV (talk) 17:13, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
BeatlesLedTV You're right about 808s not being hip hop, I was aware of that and thus sourced hip hop as a genre by referencing Jeezy's rap in composition. Also you do have a point about it being more R&B, would it be acceptable for me to swap the order of the genres in the infobox around? Actually I have swapped the genres and added in electropop alongside them, thoughts? --Kyle Peake (talk) 17:55, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Much better – BeatlesLedTV (talk) 18:05, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Dope. Added WikiProject Electronic Music, is this ok? --Kyle Peake (talk) 18:08, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If there are sources that say this song is electronic, or a style of electronic, then it's good. Otherwise it shouldn't be here. – BeatlesLedTV (talk) 18:58, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
BeatlesLedTV Removed but kept electropop in genres. --Kyle Peake (talk) 19:06, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
