Have any other inconsistencies been found in this book? The article mentions the Weathermen quote, and I was wondering if anyone found any others. I just finished reading it, and I could swear that at the beginning of the book Zuckerman mentions the Swede intent on celebrating his fiftieth birthday before his death. At the same time, however, Zuckerman is in his sixties and attending his high school reunion. I'll admit that I was a bit confused by the chronology at the time, but if the Swede was 46 in 1973, and only met Zuckerman much later for the dinner at Vincent's (this after another marriage and other children, no less), shouldn't he have already been past 50 at the time of his death?--210.240.107.60 (talk) 05:52, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Swede was hoping to attend his fiftieth high school reunion, to be held one month after Zuckerman's forty-fifth. The two remain separated by five years throughout the text.144.9.56.131 (talk) 19:18, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I find it a little ridiculous that major themes section is really just am accusation of self-plagiarism, and while the plagiarism is certainly valid, let's just call it what it is, and actually work towards really identifying the themes of this work. jordan 00:50, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:American Pastoral 2005rejacket.jpg[edit]

Image:American Pastoral 2005rejacket.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
