We need sources for these so-called Notable members. They should be deleted if they are not sourced in a reasonable length of time. GeorgeLouis (talk) 04:04, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article scope[edit]

I see no indication that the 2013 American Veterans Committee is notable; certainly not more notable than the 1943 organization. Unless such evidence is presented, I'll revert back to the 1943 organization. Huon (talk) 02:12, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Huon, I separated the two articles because I realized that the article because the addition of material on the new organization had led to confusion. Certainly the new organization has not yet achieved the notability of the old one--but as a new organization with some strong backing, it has the potential for notability, and it makes some sense to keep the existing organization at the main heading, with a clear link to the defunct one. On the other hand, the material on the new organization has been added by suspicious hands: Y2kdsp007 is listed as a sockpuppet, while VeteranUSA1 is a new user without a talk page. If you want to revert the AVC article to refer to the 1943 organization, I trust your judgment on this, but it would be well to make it clear that there is a new organization using the same name. Organization closed - Article Update[edit]

While the page is pending admin review and deletion, editing this article consistent with the organization shutting down. I am a reliable source as I served on the board of the organization. USAVet84 (talk) 02:58, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
