Discussion of Facts[edit]

The "Strike" section of this article is clearly biased. The information is only presented from the union members' point of view, with no citations whatsoever to back up the claims being made. 72.145.8.53 (talk) 14:10, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The "Strike" section is factual based on many news reports of the labor dispute at Amerijet. If this is factually based, then it should be cited. Currently, the sentence, "A a result, the planes began corroding from faecal matter and uric acid caking the interiors, posiibly causing a flight and medical biohazard somewhat worse than those on airlines of developing nations" is cited from a CNN article. This article states nothing of the sorts. Grammatical mistakes and falsifying citations are not acceptable on Wikipedia. Live Primate Transport

Amerijet is one of only a few airlines that still transports primates to be used in experimentation. They have transported primates from the islands of Saint Kitts and Barbados, and elsewhere in the Caribbean and South America, to the United States. The shipments were for companies, such as Primate Products, Inc. and Worldwide Primates, that provide primates to laboratories. In August 2009, Amerijet was cited by the USDA for failing to meet federal standards in regards to enclosures holding 15 tamarins. ^[1]

Antivivisection.info and BUAV seem to be campaign groups. In order to include this text in some form we need it reported in a WP:Reliable source, and I don't think these are suitable. For a second opinion I have asked at WP:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#BUAV and antivivisection.info. I found this pdf, is that what you were referring to for the USDA? OK, well that seems fair enough. The problem now is that the article is not very big, so a large section on this issue will quite rightly draw criticisms of WP:UNDUE. I will edit the article into something I think is fair - we can mention there have been violations, but at the moment there is, probably, no reliable source to state Amerijet is one of only a few carriers that flies primates. Is that ok? I will be logging off after making the change, but would just wag my finger now and say that I would view an attempt to re-introduce the long extract above as a violation of WP:3RR that could get you blocked. Sorry to be so over-the-top about this but I don't know how you will act and need to be clear! Thanks for responding to my post on your talk page and engaging here on the talk page.
