Untitled[edit]

Just a thought, Amherstview is essentially just a part of Kingston, maybe it should be merged into the Kingston Article? Also, a lot of people that live there smell great. Perhaps this detail deserves recognition in the article body.

Ryan Malcolm is mentioned here, but Gordon Downie and the Tragically Hip aren't? For shame.--72.138.9.92 19:22, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure whether I count as having any authority on the subject (I'm the delivery driver for Capri Pizza which is in Amherstview), but we've always considered the boundary to the West to be where the speed limit changes to 80 kmph. At least that's where it stops being considered "local". Then again, the sign is located at Highway 6. The article prefaces the boundaries by saying that there are no formal boundaries, so I'm not sure which should hold more weight, or if maybe we should amend the article to specify the degree to which boundaries exist. 67.193.131.153 (talk) 08:42, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ontario Highway 6 is in Guelph. Do you mean County Road 6 (Wilton Road, 401 exit 599)?
There is a defined boundary in the east (the county line is at Coronation Blvd) so legally, Amherstview is not Kingston. The postal codes also differ (K7N instead of the K7M used in Collins Bay through Portsmouth) so the boundary between K7N and K0H postally might be usable to determine the edge of the urban area in which mail is delivered to suburban doorsteps. 66.102.83.61 (talk) 03:25, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
