Partial list of books[edit]

I originally removed, and reverted, the "partial list of books" that was added when the page was created. After looking at other authors, I realize this is acceptable when ISBN numbers are included, or a reference is provided that the book was published. - Davandron | Talk 04:15, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The following books do not have ISBN numbers associated with them, please update when this info is available.

   * The Mystery of the Aleph: Mathematics, Kabbalah and the Search for Infinity
   * Chance: A Guide to Gambling, Love and the Stock Market
   * The Riddle of the Compass: The Invention that Changed the World
   * Pendulum: Léon Foucault and the Triumph of Modern Science
   * God's Equation: Einstein, Relativity and the Expanding Universe
   * Descartes' Secret Notebook
   * The Jesuit and the Skull: Teilhard de Chardin, Evolution, and the Search for Peking Man

Style not appropriate[edit]

"acclaimed", "accepted a professorship", "found time to write"

Moreover, the notes about father and brother look so romantic...

It seems to be written by a press agent more than for an encyclopedia. --Fioravante Patrone en (talk) 07:17, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've sought to tone that down. Remove tag?KD Tries Again (talk) 19:54, 25 September 2008 (UTC)KD Tries Again[reply]
removed tag. To me, now the page reads much better as an encyclopedia page. --Fioravante Patrone en (talk) 20:05, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Undid what seemed like defamatory statements about plagiarism, not strongly stated in referenced article and here described as "substantial"--which they were not--and which I responded to satisfactorily and completely in a letter published in the Washington Post in 2006. Seems like the writer had a personal axe to grind here. This did not belong in an encyclopedia. Wikidokman (talk) 02:17, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
