Opinion-laden[edit]

All right, who wrote this?

The story takes place in a New York setting, refering to the modern city New York City, which is located in the American state
[New York]. The Indians in this film are completly fictional, probably because all of them are depicted as mice. Also there is
a plot in the movie that nearly no one likes. It basicly just about how a child mouse finds a map of a hidden Indian
Civilization under New York City. No matter how impossible this seems, this is a cartoon fictional film, and many scholars
have studied the matter, for there is no information that it is fiction.

That is almost fully opinion-driven (only about one sentence is pure fact), and as such isn't suitable for the neutral-opinion atmosphere of an encyclopedia. What??An American Tail II: Fievel Goes West never actually happened??[edit]

The opening scene in the movie implies that An American Tail II; Fievel Goes West (and Fievel's American Tails) were just dreamed up by Fievel! Is this true? (AndrewAnorak 10:58, 18 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

I think that was the original intention of the director of An American Tail: The Treasure of Manhattan Island, however, most fans believe this to be a cheap copout on their part, and so believe Treasure and it's sequel An American Tail: The Mystery of the Night Monster take place before Fievel Goes West.

I (Larry Latham) directed and produced the two dvd sequels, and it was a decision of upper management to dismiss Feivel Goes West with the dream reference. The picture had not done as well as expected, and it was felt that it took the series in the wrong direction. There were hopes that these sequels would do well enough to continue on for some time, ala The Land Before Time sequels. My changes[edit]

A changing regulation for this page[edit]

As a fan of An American Tail, I will have to apologize for some of the edits that are proven vague as detected by users Trivialist and Cat's Tuxedo. I thought my edits subjecting its television suspension after the George Floyd protests was considered relevant before it was removed. The movie is nowhere on the television schedule as of date, even on Starz' schedule except being previewed. I’ve noticed several programs are no longer shown after the protest, including racism and sequences of police brutality. If that was proven incorrect, then shame on me.
