Redirect or Disambiguation page?[edit]

The singer Ana Đurić, kown as Konstrakta, is not the only one by that name.

There's also the handball player Ana Đurić from Bosnia and Herzegovina. FR-Wiki has page on her fr:Ana Đurić and there's an Wikidata page Ana Đurić.

On EN-Wiki there's no page for this player yet, but I'm preparing the page 2008 European Women's Handball Championship qualification. In the match Bosnia and Herzegovina v Greece she (spelled as Ana Djuric) will be listed as the Bosnian topscorer in the template {{handballbox}} for the match. So although there's no page yet, there will be a red link reference for this player soon.

So I think this should be an disambigation and not a redirect page. --Sb008 (talk) 18:58, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A disambiguation page in en:WP exists to disambiguate between several existing en:WP articles about subjects with the same or similar names. While there's only one article, there's no reason to have a disambiguation page. Maproom (talk) 06:52, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If there is not an article for the person in en-wiki, but you think that it is likely that there could be (ie you think she meets the riteria for notability) then you can create a redlink, eg [[Ana Đurić (handball player)|Ana Đurić]]. Until the article exists, that link should remain red: it obviously should not point to an article about a different person of the same name; but until the article exists, it should also not point to a DAB page.
An alternative would be to use {{ill}} to point to the fr-wiki article. If an article is subsequently written in en-wiki, the template will automatically link to it (but the possibility of needing DAB may make this a less attractive possibility). ColinFine (talk) 11:12, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
