Long bones and height[edit]

I have removed a sentence from the Long bones section that said, "They are responsible for the body's height." If taken literally (meaning a person's height is solely or overwhelmingly made up of their long bones' length), then it is clearly false—what about the vertebrae? If it is intended to convey some more specific meaning, it needs to explain it. It would also need to cite it; the sentence is not present in the source (OpenStax's Anatomy and Physiology) and was added by an anonymous editor in 2014. -- Perey (talk) 08:58, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
