  • Former and very popular Wikipedia:Collaboration of the week from May 12th this year.article changes. The article has come along very well, but still has several section stubs, and is in need of references to back up information in the article.     • I believe this was nominated for AID once before and fell through due to lack of support. Nominating things more than once doesn't seem to work, which is why I keep nominating American Motors to no avail.   • I think most of its problems could be solved by someone inserting a fragment from all those main article links into the page. I suspect the reason it failed here last time will have been that it's not a stub and, if it's already received a lot of attention, one wonders why much more need be heaped on it.   • Ancient Rome is definitely an important topic, laying down the foundations of upon which much of the Western Civilization is laid. The article itself has definitely improved a lot from the sorry stage it was before the Collaboration of the Week. However, there is still a lot of work to be done.
  • The article does need to be extended, as many of the article's sub-categories (such as that of culture and technology) are still stubbs and relatively short.--TBC 03:03, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

    • I think this article would be really good for improvement. It seems like all the information is already on Wikipedia, just divided between many smaller and more detailed articles. The important question to ask is: how long should each of the stub articles be? Should they be breif summaries of their Main articles? Or should they be completly rewritten with new sources. I think before we make any radical changes to the article, we need to investigate what we already have to work with in other articles, Roman Republic or Roman Kingdom for example. Finally, I think a "Roman History in Popular Culture" section should be added. Recently, new TV shows, HBO's ROME for example, and similar video games have been released and I believe that mentioning how Roman history is still around in the modern world is a good idea to add to the article. --Ironchef8000 02:43, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
