GA Review[edit]

Hi there, I am happy to tell you that this article has passed GA without the need for any further improvement. Listed below is information on how the article fared against the Wikipedia:good article criteria, with suggestions for future development. These are not required to achieve GA standard, but they might help in future A-class or FAC review process.

  • It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
Prose is not bad, although it could be a little bit smoother. I've fiddled with it a little bit, but it would be worth getting a military history peer review and asking people to look at it.--Jackyd101 (talk) 00:07, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah my writing style is not that great, thatnks for improving it. I will take a look myself this weekend and ask around for help, it has already been peer reviewed - Dumelow (talk) 07:46, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
  • It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  • It follows the neutral point of view policy.
a (fair representation): b (all significant views):
  • It is stable.
  • It contains images, where possible, to illustrate the topic.
a (tagged and captioned): b (lack of images does not in itself exclude GA): c (non-free images have fair use rationales):
I'm a little unsure of the positioning of the HMS St George and HMS Philomel image in August 26. On my browser it displaces all the text beneath it and it looks a little odd. Maybe consider reversing the images in this section.--Jackyd101 (talk) 00:07, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, I agree with you. I will look at that as well and maybe swap the sides - Dumelow (talk) 07:46, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Overall:
    a Pass/Fail:

Thankyou and congratulations, a very interesting article on an interesting and bizarre topic. Incidentally, the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography has an article on Lloyd Mathews. If you have access I recommend putting an article together to complement this one. All the best.--Jackyd101 (talk) 00:07, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for passing it. I have been looking at doing an article at Lloyd Mathews for a while and will try to get it sorted in the next week or so. Thanks - Dumelow (talk) 07:46, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
