Origins of Ann T Nelms[edit]

Ann T Nelms is likely identical with an Ann V Travers, daughter of Wade and Ann Travers, enumerated in Waycross, Wade County, Georgia in the 1930 and 1940 Federal Censuses. Note the middle initial T, which could represent her maiden name in marriage. This of course cannot be included in the article as it is original research and additional proof is needed, but it is a decent lead which can be used towards finding an appropriate source for Wikipedia so her origins, schooling, etc, can be documented at some point in the future. Ann Valerie Travers was born 9 September 1928 in Waycross, Georgia, to Wade and Annie M (Golden) Travers, according to the Social Security Death Index (SSDI). Her dad was a fireman for a steam railroad and her mom was a nurse, per the 1930 census. She and her brother Wade (0/12 in April 1930) were living with their parents in the 1930 census. The SSDI provides her surname as Travers as of March 1950 (probably when she married); as Nelms (no date); as Collins as of January 1963 and when she died in April 1998. SSDI said she was black, a female, and her SSN was 379-42-7969. Pnoble805 (talk) 20:46, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
