Lots of sources state that she was honored with this distinction, (DeWinter & Kocurek, p 424; Osiakwan, p 86 as examples). None give a date. Hawken from 2014 does not make the claim, nor does Forbes from 2013, so it seems likely that it was awarded after 2013 but before 2017 when Osiakwan was published. A search through the Kenya Gazette on 2 different webhosts Gazettes.africa and KenyaLaw.org from 2010 to 2019 returns no results for any variation of her name, so I am reluctant to include the information.
