Divorced?[edit]

There's actually no evidence that M.H. Adams and Annette Abbott Adams were divorced (yet). Many sources from the California State Library's Bornefield "Research material for book on California’s first women legislators" including interviews with people who knew Mrs. Justice Adams state that she abandoned him...or just left him.
