Assessment for WikiProject Album[edit]

As of October 1, 2008, this article is missing several essential pieces necessary to meet the C class criteria for WikiProject Album. As noted at the assessment subpage, it lacks the requisite personnel section, which must include all musicians for C class as well as technical personnel for B, and it does not include the mandatory track list times and song composer information in the tracklist.

Contributors to this article should request reassessment here when these issues are addressed. WikiProject Album articles may be assessed by any project contributor who has not "made significant contributions" to the article. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:48, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You seem to have made significant contributions to this article, User:Be Black Hole Sun. Please do not evaluate it for WikiProject Album yourself. This is not in accordance with the project's assessments guidelines. This is helpful because sometimes contributors do not realize shortfalls in their own work. For instance, you have not included "technical personnel", and hence this article is not eligible as it is for B class. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:11, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have added additional notes at the assessment subpage reflecting changes to the article and discussing needed improvements for B class. Contributors to the article may request reassessment here when these issues are addressed. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:16, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've made all the projects class=C. Argolin (talk) 21:48, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Limitations to quotes[edit]

Wikipedia's non-free content guidelines permit only brief quotations; extensive quotation of copyrighted text is prohibited. The Allmusic review quoted utilized 177 words out of a 216 word review, which far exceeds the substantiality allowance of fair use. It has been removed. Contributors to this article are welcome to summarize in original language the perspective of the reviewer, with brief quotes as appropriate for illustrative purposes, but these quotes should not represent a large enough portion of the entire work to infringe on the copyright of the original. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:25, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline[edit]

One timeline says 1978-2005, while the other says 1980-2005. Which one is correct? Forgot to sign it, the last time I was here. The previous comment is mine. Red dwarf (talk) 06:43, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In order to reach C class on the album assessment, this article needs a personnel section detailing all musicians. It also needs information on track lengths and composers.

Article requirements:
Green tickY Start: reasonably complete infobox; lead section with overview of album; track listing; reference to at least primary personnel by name; Categorization by at least artist and year.
Green tickY C: all of start and (1) cover art in infobox; (2) at least one additional section of prose; (3) track lengths & song authors in tracklist; (4) a personnel section including all musicians.
Red XN B: all of C and (1) most technical details in infobox; (2) technical personnel in personnel section; (3) no obvious issues with sourcing; (4) no obvious issues with readability, though it may not conform completely to style guidelines; (5) no glaring omissions of information (see some suggestions at WP:ALBUM) or extraneous information, like trivia.

Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums/Assessment for additional information on article class. To request a reassessment from the Album project, when concerns are addressed, please see "requesting an assessment". --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:44, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personnel section has been added including musicians, but not technical personnel. Track lengths & composers are present. Additional information may be necessary to reach B class. Please see suggestions at WP:ALBUM for additional material to include. Suggested topics include history, themes (musical or lyrical), a consideration of its specific influences, specific followers, where it fits in its genre and what leanings it may have toward others, reasons for the order of tracks (if any), etc. The critical response section currently consists of one review, which does not meet the recommendation to "synthesize the general critical reception of the album, being as detailed as possible." --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:15, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
