I have upped Amo from low to mid importance, although I feel he may even desrve high importance As one of the few Africans to embark on an academic career in Europe in the eighteenth century, is in itself very notable.he is a regular fetaure in oveview books of African philosophy to this day, and i beleive there is a statue of him in Jena.Harrypotter 09:54, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removing "at the peak of the Black Lives Matter movement"[edit]

I remove those words as it is today hard to tell if the movement will further expand or decrease, and as no source is quoted showin that the peak was not already in the past. Thanks for developing the article, though! Gfombell (talk) 19:44, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not the first African university student in Europe.[edit]

Not even remotely, Oba Orhogbua of the Benin Empire studied in Portugal over 200 Years before Anton Wilhelm Amo. 2003:DA:A74C:540E:510D:5742:EB87:8C39 (talk) 07:15, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
