I'm a bit surprised to find Speedy Deletion tag slapped on this page. He is not, I admit, one of the top ten most notable Neoplatonist philosophers of the time of ancient Rome, but he is roughly about as significant as his mother or his father. His story is perhaps significant because he is part of the decline of Paganism at a time when Christianity was beginning to persecute pagan beliefs. Eunapius has quite a bit more to say about Antoninus than appears in this stub here, including how Antoninus refrained from theurgic rites "perhaps because he kept a wary eye on the imperial views and policy which were opposed to these practices." If this page meets the criteria for speedy deletion, then I think approximately half of all the pages on ancient Greek and Roman people on Wikipedia also meet the same criteria.
