Do you think 50% of the country is familiar with the term Apres Ski?
Citation needed for the french meaning[edit]
I'm a native french speaker (I'm french), and I confirm après-ski "merely refers to the comfortable boots worn after removing (uncomfortable) ski boots.". The english for the french "après-ski" is snowboot but there is no word to refer to the time spent after skiing in french.
I don't know what to put as a citation... may be a link to the french wiktionary entry for "après-ski" ? Despite the whole page is written in french, the english word snowboot is given as an english translation. Frenchplatypus (talk) 22:45, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Challenge on derogatory connotation of term[edit]
Living near a ski resort, I can tell there is a little bit of pretentiousness to apres-ski, but I couldn't find any articles of record mentioning same. So if nobody has any objection, I'm going to remove that passage.Philosophistry (talk) 06:58, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
