I'm thinking that a statement that Arnor was in the north and Gondor was in the south, and were a bit geographically separated would be nice to have at the beginning of the article, just to provide some context.

Optional Maybe in early life a brief statement that there's a large gap of time between Isildur and Aragorn? "and the Ring was seemingly lost for ever" could signify this I guess, so if you think that's sufficient, it's fine by me.

Be consistent with River Anduin vs. river Anduin, personally, I think the first one is better

A bunch of things are overlinked. Occassional overlinks are one thing, but the One Ring get linked like every other paragraph, which is a touch excessive

When you link to Fangorn Forest, the link Fangorn redirects to the top of Treebeard's page. I'd recommend using a piped link of Treebeard#Fangorn's Forest to bring the reader to the exact section
